Position Overview

As a Tier 3 WordPress Technical Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in resolving the most complex support tickets we receive relevant to WordPress. This role requires a deep understanding of WordPress development, strong coding skills, and mastery in communicating technical concepts to a diverse range of customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • WordPress Plugin and Theme Support 

    • Deliver customer support via Helpdesk software (e.g. Helpscout, Zendesk) and potentially live chats as well (no phone support is required). 

    • Diagnose and resolve the most complex technical issues related to WordPress installations, themes, plugins, and server configurations.

  • Custom Snippets & Advanced Customization  

    • Provide code snippets catering to minor to advanced customization requests (CSS, JS, PHP - hooks & filters) & temporary bug fixes until a permanent fix is added to the plugin / theme.  

  • Collaboration with Development Team 

    • Collaborate with WordPress developers and other technical teams to verify, identify and escalate bugs that require code changes or updates.

    • Implement bug fixes under the guidance and approval of the Lead Developer. 

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and English Communication Skills.

  • 4+ years WordPress development experience including PHP, HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

  • Has a solid understanding of the technical architecture of WordPress and its plugin & theme ecosystem. 

  • Has built multiple complex WordPress websites.

  • Has built WordPress themes from scratch or heavily customized WordPress starter themes.

  • Has built or heavily customized WordPress plugins.

  • Proficient in Git and platforms like GitHub or similar..

  • Familiar with task management tools (e.g. JIRA, ClickUp).

Skills and Competencies

Communication and Teamwork

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  • A strong team player with a supportive and friendly attitude.

  • Live chat and help desk tool experience is a plus

Nice to Have

  • Experience using help desk ticketing platforms (e.g. Help Scout, Intercom, Zendesk).

  • Prioritizes impressive response times and consistently meets deadlines.

Salary Offer

  • ₱80,000 - ₱110,000

Schedule

  • Available to work full-time, 8-hour shifts (40 hours/week).

  • Paid Training Schedule - Day Shift

  • Regular Work Schedule - Night Shift
